The axe belongs to the Jutuls (the Giants), and it has been in their possession for centuries.

Overview[]

Also unofficially referred as Axe of Jutul, this two-handed enchanted bearded axe holds considerable significance to its namesake owners who were veterans of Ragnarök. Apparently made specifically for the acting head of Jutul family/clan, this weapon was more beautifully crafted than Saxa's Spear and Ran's Bow; the handle, which slightly longer than a human arm, is adorned with thin leather straps wrapped about it in criss-cross pattern. The butt of its head is triangular in shape and curved, almost scythe-like and as deadly sharp as its edge — this is the part of the weapon Magne Seier fatally impaled Vidar Jutul's back onto during their second and final duel by mistake.

A custom among Jutuls revolving Axe of Jutul is the owner of the weapon will place it at the center of a desk he and his kin use in order to start a meeting, more than often involving voting on taking a certain important action.

Being a weapon originated from Old World, it's presumed that, like Mjölnir, The Eternal Fire was used to craft this weapon thus imbuing it its magical properties. In addition of remains in perfect condition even centuries after its creation (though this could be attributed to Jutuls periodically maintenance it so it can last longer), the axe can kill even Gods or Giants who otherwise immune to mortal weapons.
